Brazos Valley Flight Services offers aircraft rental for qualified pilots seeking well-maintained, dependable aircraft in a professional training environment. Whether you are continuing flight training, building flight hours, or planning an approved personal flight, our rental fleet provides a convenient option at Easterwood Airport.
At BVFS, safety and consistency come first. Our aircraft are maintained to high standards by our own A&P mechanics, and checkout requirements ensure each pilot is prepared and each aircraft is operated responsibly.
Rental Requirements
- Valid government-issued photo ID & passport
- Valid pilot certificate
- Current FAA medical certificate, if required
- One-time BVFS checkout flight to proficiency with an approved instructor (min. 3 hours ground & flight instruction)
- Recurrent: 90-day currency per 14 CFR 61.57(a) and (b)
- Compliance with all BVFS rental policies, scheduling procedures, and aircraft operating rules
- Renter’s insurance through Higginbotham / Starr (required for all solo student and renter operations)
Required Before Solo
Renter’s Insurance
All students and renters who plan to fly solo must carry approved renter’s insurance before solo flight privileges are granted. Only policies through Higginbotham / Starr Insurance are accepted.

Only the approved provider will be accepted. Proof of active coverage is required before solo flight.
