What Is an Introductory Flight?
An Introductory Flight is a local flight with one of our instructors in which you get to know the airplane and the flight training environment, often for the first time. Under the guidance of our qualified instructors, you will be in the pilot’s seat of one of our aircraft and at the controls most of the time.
After a pre-flight briefing, your flight lasts approximately 45 minutes (about 30 minutes flying time). Your instructor will gently introduce you to the flight controls and let you experience the fundamental maneuvers: climbs, straight-and-level flight, turns, and descents.
This is a real flight lesson — it counts toward your training if you decide to continue!

Pre-Flight Briefing
Meet your instructor, walk around the airplane, and learn what you’ll be doing in the air.
You Fly
Take the controls for climbs, turns, and straight-and-level flight over the beautiful Brazos Valley.
It Counts
Log the time! Your intro flight counts as your first lesson if you continue training.
